Hi peeps. I am proud to say I am the first (and only) person in SA to have this pedal at this moment. Only 1 was brought in meanwhile (very foolish music stores in my opinion), and besides being a Joe Satriani fanatic, this pedal delivers and more! Those of you who haven't seen it, Google Satchurator and check out some youtube videos. Tone, distortion, INCREDIBLE!!! Music Connection in Randburg will be bringing more in, so don't despair.

There is definitely more than one in SA - the VOX importers would have to be stupid if there was only one! They have one at Turnkey in Randburg which I've played on twice and I'm sure I saw one at Marshall Music in Woodmead a few weeks ago.

lol yeah. I corrected myself in the topic I find that's as old as July on here. Didn't even know it existed until very recently! Now all you folks gotta do is go out and get one!

As a matter of interest what was the launch price of this pedal? (Sachurator)

All over the net the cheapest price i can find is 129 dollahs but stores in ZA selling this for as low as R795-00. The international price is on par with the Ice 9 ,why is so much cheaper here and if so why cant other pedals be similarly priced.

just curious on this one , on everything else we pay something akin to 9 - 10 ront to the dollah but on the sathurator its like 6 ront to the dollah, what gives ?

The price is/ was exactly the same as the Ice 9.

The reason many stores in SA are selling the Satchurator for a lot less is because we've been doing a special promotion on them for some time now, meaning many stores could conceivably sell them for way less than the full retail - at similar levels to what you've found.

Cool and thats understandable , at 6 rand to the dollah if everyone is making money on a sale of one why not have similar pricing on all items? ?

It hasn't got anything to do with the current exchange rate. We're not really making money on it at that price - it's just to reduce stock levels on them.

At that price i would think they would fly out the stores ....

must say that Ice 9 is the best pedal i ever bought ...its oh so sweet .......

maybe get the satchurator as well to play around with...

Around 800 hunnert in some stores ...for 130 dollah pedal this is a great price ....

i am still playing around wit hthe one i have ..its a great pedal so will probably buy it at that price....its subtle not in yr face distortion and htis i kinda like

Not sure I understand. Is this a different satchurator than that red box with the 3 chicken head knobs?

I tested one out a few years ago while I was still I varsity @ musicmate in faerie glen, but I was to poor back then

800 hunnert seems to be bang for buck. Would anyone care to mention where that "some store" may be? I have only seen 1k+ thusfar

Turnkey music just off Malibongwe drive in Strydom park, Randburg have em for 795-00 ...discounted from 1695 or something like that.

excellent bang for buck considering this is a 130 dollah pedal in the US (best price i could find on the net is 130 dollahs by the way)

I happen to have a Satchurator, brand new in plastic in the box, never played.
