L.:.:L.;:LIFE.................
yeh I think thats ounds pretty muff like........
I try avoid demo's up late because I dont want to tempt myself....... Fuzz you can never have enough of............ Funny enough there arent any fuzz's or often many in the classifieds
Jack-Flash-Jr
Tame Impala - very cool. I like my fuzz with a little more bottom end, their album sounds a little feathery start to finish... maybe it's just me!
singemonkey
Speaking of modern psych-rock, do you guys know the Swedish band Dungen (pronounced duhn yen, apparently):
I like 'em.

Let me post the best fuzz ever. The fuzz factory, but this time with THE MACHINE!

A Very Special Twosome
If I found this in time I would have got it on the spot.. limited to 100 units, all sold out.. I have tried...
Maybe Blackout Effectors can make me a custom 1 off ?
How versatile is this fuzz?
MikeM
Brent come visit me and you can test mine ? I have the regular one..

You still in Pretoria? After my exams. Will make a plan. I need to piece my board together, just been waiting for one more illusive pedal to be complete... then its all going onto an african rosewood floor board... ? Hopefully by Jan it'll be done... I need to test the twosome... So it sounds like a plan!
But I want THIS one... a very special one :?
MikeM
Cool no prob - just let me know when you're in the area etc..
You know you ACTUALLY want a 1 off ?
Vick
Iv played around on a twosome, I love the fix'd fuzz side....the musket side is oky,I prefer my mi audio neo fuzz to the musket side,so I would probably never buy I twosome.... :\
On a side note: Iv never gased for sum thing because of exclusivity...if it can do something awsum, that's another story... ?

I feel weird but, I am the only guy, and mr m can vouch for this, who did not like the NEO fuzz ?
It seemed a top notch pedal, but for sound I never could get it the way i wanted :/
The same goes for the blue boy and blue boy Deluxe :/
But I guess some people benifited from my dislike (Mr m and Vick)

I am enjoying the MXR108 classic fuzz...the MI fuzz's where not in stock when I wanted to purchase so I went with the 108. Would still love to hear the NEO and the GI MI FUZZ's in real life tho.
One thing I noticed is that i tested the MXR108 Fuzz on a fender amp (think it was 4x10 deville) and it sounded exactly how i wanted it. Got back to Cape Town and plugged into my peavey classic 30 and it has a 15% "miffness" that I dont really like BUT maybe oneday I will have a bassman 4x10 ? ?
SO I think AMP has a large part to play in fuzz. MIKA what amp you using at the mo?
MIKA-the-better-one
I am runningthe Bassman 50watt 4 by 10inch speakers 1973
BUt I am slowly coming to realise I think what osund I need fro man amlifier, for my fuzz and OD
I never turn off overdrive, but at the same time my Od is more just a brightened up clean with a touch of hair, however with lots of attack and pick sensativity.
My bassman above 5 volume, beginds to break up alot, and the mids get intense, so I reckon for what i want I need a twin......... with more headroom
I just find OD and fuzz have more space to work.
Likewise using the MXR 108 Big fender amp its great, smaller amp, such as AC30 or peavey classic 30, its not the same............
Do you run the mxr early in your chain or later ofer OD, I run my fuzz first, always going into a od
shadow1
At the moment Fuzz first on the board. Didnt find it mixed well with my OD. So what I am doing is running the OD channel on the amp with ever so slight hair.this seems to sound TOIT to me

This thread almost died........ ☹
SO I am moving on from my mxr 108, not because its bad but because I decided logically I spent time with a fuzz face style fuzz, now I want a tone bender...
Any experience with tonebenders????? I heard they have a bit more gain than a FF...... and a little more splatty. Not as Hendrix but more Page.....
Also how many fuzz users here have intergrated there fuzz's with there overdrives????
MikeM
Solasound Mk2. That's my next fuzz.
MIKA-the-better-one
ah so we are both on a tonebender quest then..... do you think ile get racounteurs, dead weather, black keys fuzz with a tone reaper???
MAybe if i run a boost before it
MikeM
Man, I have found the tone bender to usually sound MASSIVE. If that's what you're hunting for, yea. But I always find Black Keys' fuzz to be more splatty, or am I remembering wrong?
MIKA-the-better-one
Looking at the tone reaper by EQD sounds pretty big... not as big as the hoof, whch is my other possible choice
MikeM
Tone reaper is dam cool 8)
Vick
The Tone reaper is cool, but like most tone benders, its like a fuzz, distortion combination IMO...
As soon as I have the available funds, the hoof will be my next fuzz...
But I must say,I'm really so happy with the dirt transmitter, the neo fuzz just sits in the closet most of the time now(with a cs-3 and a ekko 616...now that must be bad conversation)...
