This thread hopefully should just be added to..... it can be where people can check out all types of fuzz's........ post videos of there favourite etc etc......
Fuzz faces, tone benders, Fuzz factories........ you name it
I have also found there are so many fuzz's out there built by so many each sounds so great......
firstly what is the difference between a fuzz face, tone bender, suppa bender etc etc???
I have the basic concept down but perhaps someone can explain it further.
To kick off this hopefully enjoyable thread here is a kinda rundown of some different fuzz's

Got a nice live test of Matt's boutique build this morning. There is a reason Dan P had dibs on the one he demo'd for me. GREAT sound but what was most impressive was the array of tones and vibes he could pull out of it. Nice one Matta ?

After playing with it for like 5min,I was like,yeah...
Its my fav pedal at the moment,
Its so thick and its amazing how a pedal with only two knobs can give so many usable tones...and when you dip the voltage,its a totally different,but still awsum monster...

I have recently decided that I want a univox supper fuzz style fuzz,after youtubing a copel of clones
I was very disappointed,coz they were similar,but different,after sum more research,I discovered that there were two versions of the SF,the one is black
And the other is red,if I recall correctly,the red one replaced the black one.
Thou I haven't seen manufacturers specify witch SF there pedals are clones of
Or based on,so it would be like guessing then youtubing but at the end of the day
I stumbeled a cross the mjm china fuzz,and now I'm sold(will purchase as soon as I have money,that dam marshall muisic sale)
IMO,this is as close as your gona get to one without getting a origenal

Mmhm...I love fuzz.
My absolute favourite fuzz pedal is the Zoom Ultra Fuzz. Before you boo me off the stage, ask Mika - he's heard it. It really is great sounding and has the best oscillation in any pedal I've ever encountered, including the ZVEX Fuzz Factory. And it does from gated synth fuzz to velcro fuzz to vintage fuzz to near Big Muff or Swollen Pickle wall of sound fuzz. I'll never sell it. Got it for a whole R400. When they show up on eBay they can go for up to $200(!) because they are now sought-after.

I have watched the fuzzilla demo like 3 times......... I really want to hear more of it....
Funny enough the super fuzz style is my least fave.... despite my love for QOTSA
I am using my bxr blue box at the moment and it really surprises my how good a fuzz it is ?
The twosome is great, but i dont fancy the muset side, I like the fixd fuzz side........... My band mate uses a musket and he loves it....
The death by audio Fuzz War..... I love the makers of there stuff but not there pedals..........
Anyone seen there band, A place to bury strangers ........... Very cool

I think that fuzzhugger ab synt is RAD..... I have been watching it for awhile thinking if i should get one...... Sounds insane...
Super Fuzz....... Its a great fuzz I jsut want more mmmmmmffffff............ But it seems all my favourite bands use it...
I want to hold out and see how mattas fuzzilla sounds ..... wish I think tis probably great.... I just get so skeptical of myself

Actually, although some people say it is based on the Fuzz Factory, the Ultra Fuzz is not as far as I can tell even vaguely similar besides that they both do oscillation.
I think they stopped making the Ultra Fuzz in 2004. So awesome sounding. So many tones, all of them great. Oh and the oscillation - so chaotic yet so controllable. I think I've sung enough praises for one morning... ?

I really want to have a collection of fuzz............... But I really cant figure out what i would like next.......... That ultra fuzz is a sweet pedal....... ALot of tweakability

Sadly my Catalinbread Ottava Magus seems to have decided to develop a serious noise/ hiss issue that the guys from Catalinbread haven't encountered before, so it looks like I'll have to buy a version 2 to replace it before long. Sad because I just spent a bunch on a Barber 1/2 Gainer. ☹

Yeah, it does suck. It still makes sound but a heck of a loud hiss. I'll bear with the noise for now until I have some more $ for a new one.
The new Catalinbread Fuzz is the Merkin and it sounds awesome! Vintage 60's Mosrite Fuzzrite tones. Probably the coolest pedal demo ever: ?

I had a good bit of cash saved for a new fuzz.... and then decided I should go get my bassman retubed and recapped so now i am still stuck with my blue box for fuzz alone..... I was looking at the merkin..... i juts dont know if it would suit all my needs... but cool demo.......
Yeh those other demos the manlay sound one...... baby face i think............. I want that one so bad it seems a really nice sound......

Here is a qusstion does a Rat qualify as a fuzz? Or the double muff? I am undecided

That Manlay does sound killer IMO!
The Rat has a fuzzy quality to the distortion (and a fizzy quality too), but it's not a fuzz. The regular Big Muff and the Little Big Muff are fuzzes, but the Double Muff is an overdrive/ distortion.

I would agree...... I have had 3 rats.. and never liked them much :-\
The manlay guy does one called the Ronno bender........... a mk1 style pedal.... sounds great but is battery only and needs tobe first in line ☹
I think Mr m..... Vick and myself........... should be moderators for a Fuzz Section.... yep .......... it seems we appreciate good things. and we have managed to keep this afloat for a bit now
