? , wow , with respect Mr. Bones , I'm not a gigging muso , but I would think it would be a lot easier to operate such a range of effects on 2 or even 3 separate narrower boards , arranged in a semi-circle around your standing (or sitting ) position in the band.....
How do you manage to use this layout without adjusting settings with your feet unintentionaly ?
Those knobs on the middle row of pedals must be difficult to avoid , ........just asking 8)
See the big black controller at the front of my board (Musicom EFX MK II) ... It's an effects controller that has eight true bypass loops. It's programmable, so I can hit one button and have any combination of pedals brought into the signal chain at once. It also has Midi control functionality which allows me to control the Eventide timefactor (On/Off, Patch Select, Delay Tempo, etc)
I layer my overdrives for different sounds and use the PB1 Booster or the Keeley Compressor to normalise my clean volume. That way I don't have to keep adjusting my volume when switching from Clean to Drive. Basically frees me up to concentrate on playing ... and GOD knows I have to concentrate ?
Before I bought this controller I used to be a pretty good river dancer :-[
