Hi guys just wanted to start this thread so that everyone can see each others pedalboard. So here is mine pretty simple just a Boss ME-50 & i am going 2 buy myself a digitech hot head & some other pedals. So guyz start posting pics of your pedalboard. I dont have a photo of my board yet so just got some photos of the pedals off the net.

No prob JoeyBones. Cool. I wish more people would post there boards. I'm taking notes for when I have the resources to build my own board. So far most of the boards are cool. Plus there are a lot of pedals that I see that I didn't even know was available in SA. Which makes me happy. ?

I've picked up a lot by being a member on forums in the US. Some really cool stuff out there. The SA market is pretty limited in variety, but it's getting better.

Yeah. I'm on another forums called Guitarpraise. Which is an international forums for mostly guitarist in general that play in lead guitar in church bands. And I've seen some nice boards but always wondered if some of the pedals were available in SA. Then I saw some of the boards posted here and well was glad to see some of the really nice pedals out there making their way to SA. ?

I've imported most of my gear. Way cheaper to buy from the US and you can pick up good deals of eBay and some of the forums.

I generally import all pedals, or buy pedals from guys who imported them privatly...... Stores like Music Connection ask ridiculous prices for pedals............ So I try get all pedals privatly. From Tonefactor, never tried ebay :/

There's always a bit of risk with having stuff shipped via USPS, but it's been good for the most part.

Hey guys.

So I finally got some time to build something proper. I also made it big enough because I am going to buy some more pedals in near future and I am not making the mistake of building something that will not be big enough for future use... I have done that... Anyhow, took me a few hours to make, used 16mm and 6mm MDF board, the 6mm to cut back on the weight, in the end I am very happy with the result, not to heavy and it will keep the electronics safe. The hardware was quite expensive but it still worked out A LOT cheaper than it would have cost me if I had bought it. Please excuse the poor quality pics. ?

How much do you pay on import tax?

They should only charge you VAT on it. To my knowledge and in my experience, musical equipment does not have any additional import duty.

on my MI Audio Crunchbox I paid R1k for the pedal with shipping and I think I paid R100 to collect from customs. Slightly cheaper than the R2360 Marshall wanted for it.

I recently ordered a large amount of pedals and pedal related from ProGuitarShop, arrived within a week and best of all only had to play R74 to get it in the country!

@MNM7 I built it a few weeks ago, walked into a 4x4 shop recently and saw that they sell the kind of hardware that I needed to build it. I then bought it, started building, but it's not finished though, all the wires are supposed to go underneath the board into an area that I allowed for power supply, cables, wires etc. Will look very neat when I am done, only the pedals on top, the rest hidden underneath.

If I figure out the timefactor and how to use the midi program / recall functions on my controller, my DD-5 will be replaced by my Carbon Copy ?

Yip. It's a Maxon OD-820. Much better than the 808 reissue I had.
