Got the Cioks from MATTA today ? ?

Plugged it up and ended up only using all 8 of the std boss style cables.
I thought that my Nova Delay would use a "special" cable but it seems to use the same old boss style (obviously 12v tho)

The power supply fits nicely, minimal pedalboard real estate. I am using almost all the inputs and was wondering if its beter to "daisy chain" some of my pedals off 1 input OR use the power out from my tuner for example. Will this be a better/ queiter way to run it? or just use 1 input per 1 pedal (as I currently have it setup)

...Just want to have the optimum setup from it and obviously the quietest.

    Hey Don,

    Glad you are all sorted!

RE linking on the pedal vs through the TU2, much of a muchness, either will have the same results. In this case I'd just use the included split flex cable, the one with 2 of the BOSS style adapters coming off the RCA to achieve this.

I just had a glance through the manual and wanted to point out that by default the unit is switched to 'glow', so the main LED glows like an orb and fades out again, this is completely normal and a feature, as the pedal draws more current and gets warmer the intensity of this glow will increase... if this all sounds kind of trippy you can set the power LED to be always one by switching DIP switch 1.

The other thing that is REALLY neat/crazy is that when you switch the unit one it blinks your unique serial number for your PSU at you via the power LED, ala morse code, neat!

    Cheers

    Matt

I know what you mean - one can get lost in time staring at these types of things...

Ooo... then you NEED a Boss RT-20 - very trippy!

Don't daisy unless you have to. If you've got the Pitch Black, I suspect that filters the power output or something, because I get less noise using that than a daisy cable.

          Y'all so lucky....

I am still touched (for life) that I bought a Voodoo Labs PSU a month before this order was placed...
I recently upgraded the ISO5 to the Pedal Power 2 Plus however...

I must say it is a wonderful unit too.. and I'm pretty happy with it...

Enjoy every one, this Cioks stuff is just to cool for words ?
Outside of Aubs1 and Skywalker (who have made alternative arrangement) all the other supplies have shipped! Will PM you your tracking number, all send counter to counter so should be with you tomorrow.

            Matt
Thanx Matt, couriers dropped mine off early this morning.......looking forward to getting my pedals on the board soon!!!

I know this thread is old, but I'm currently looking to buy a power supply and the cioks seems to be the industry leader?

Any suppliers in CPT or SA?

no. Importing is your only option if you want Cioks.
Also, I think the new Strymon supplies are the new industry leaders. Also import only.
there are others... Walrus audio, again, import.
MXR is available here though, I think T-rex too.
In all honesty, if you can get a friend to bring you back one from the States, it'll be better and cheaper.

Thanks for the response. Not too keen to import if I can avoid it, also don't have friends or family over there. I've done some research into locally available power supplies:

Looks like T-Rex is available from Mars Music. I like the T-Rex Fuel Tank Junior, but it only has 5 outputs. I currently have 6 pedals and plan on expanding so might have to go bigger. The fuel tank classic does not have isolated outputs and the goliath is too expensive.

Then I found this BBE Supa Charger: https://www.musicexperience.co.za/collections/guitar-accessories/products/bbe-supa-charger-isolated-pedal-power-supply

Looks good, 8 isolated outputs and within my budget, just not sure about quality?
Been using the BBE for a good few years now, never had an issue. I run 2 drives, HOF reverb, tuner, compressor and a Timeline off it, no trouble.
