Howdy boy's and girls. I have another challenge for ya.

Basically, it involves your soloing principles over a track as well as your compositional ability. Your phrasing would be the main challenge. It won't be a widdly widdly for all, lets see who nails it to the wall challenge. More like a way to focus on your phrasing.

You can do one of two things... either just solo over the track. Or you could solo and compose additional parts (accompaniment) to the existing track.

There is a slight catch however. If you choose to only do a solo, you have two days from downloading the pad track to uploading it. If you compose additional things, you have 7 days.

There are three tracks, all with the same background pad, just each has different drums on it. You can pick one track, or all three, that choice is yours.

The tracks are very bare... the part of accompaniment I enforced a little so as to encourage you to play... However you could solo on it alone... but the track might not stand up too well then.

The notes are A, D, Bb and G... and your tempo is 60 bpm

Cool. I like the second one, so I'll see if I can add some depth on to it, as well as the required solo. I assume we need to keep it to the one minute? Can I change it a bit?
OK, Will do this, I'll give it a go tonight when I get home.
I'm in. This is a great example of how drums effect the feel of a piece.

Try and keep to the one minute... but its not necessary. you can change it by cutting it up if you want... but the note order has to be the same.... the chord choice is yours.
Ok cool thanks, I did not take the note order into consideration....so ignore my previous statement!
I don't have the time to attempt this, but definitely looking forward to seeing the outcome! ?
Ok I have just downloaded no 1 I'll see if I can get round to doing something meaningful by Sunday night 11pm (is that how it works) I am quite bunged up with flu ATM so my hearing is a bit shot do I get extra kudos If I can forge fax you a doctors certificate?

lol... nah, I believe you... Doctors notes are expensive so no nee ?

If you are only going to do a solo, then it is two days. Otherwise with composition happening, you will have 7 days ?

Hope you get better dude, I hate flu and the possibility of recording while under the influence... of semi-semitone flat ear syndrome.
Ok here is my weedeling on track 1 either the flu has buggered my hearing or your track is a few cents out of tune anyway it was a little bit of fun I wish the track was a little longer like 5 or 10 minutes 8)

                      Gilmour influence, Rene?

Nicely done for flat ear syndrome... very nice ?

Lines done very well... evoked a lot of good emotions... good blend of sounds.
