Durban Gigs this weekend 15-16 May

So lets see whats up in Durban this weekend.

From my side, Swell band are playing at Giba Gorge in Pinetown, from 12-3pm and at Zacks sometimes between 7-10. We are a guest band for a charity event hosted by Steve Fataar and co....

Don, I've also heard that there is a benefit concert at VMax this Saturday for the family of Andre Joubert, a well known guitarist and singer here in Durbs, who tragically died two weeks ago. I think it starts at 11.00am and goes on 'til midnight - not sure of the entry fee.

Our keyboard player broke his leg skiing on the Swiss Alps, so we haven't tried to market ourselves for some time. However, the rest of us, Bass, Drums & guitar have been doing open mic sessions just to keep in touch with audiences.
The trio played recently at St. Clements in Musgrave Road and have been invited back there by acclaimed artist, Andre Verster, to play at a remembrance do for Aidan Walsh, his life partner, who died a year ago. It's going to be an art do with a slide presentation/celebration of Aidan's work with us playing music from the 50's and 60's. This will be on Monday July 14.

I'm currently working on getting a weekly gig at a pub in my area, so will let you know what's potting.

Cool, well, keep me updated with the 14th of July, I'd be keen to come and support that, and see you play! ? Sounds cool, we godda support the local talent! ?
