Went into Andy Mc Gibbons this morning, What impressed me was the large range of Tokai's in stock. They have a full range. Check out the Tokai Teles, awesome and really good instruments.

I agree. Although there was Clapton's. I must say, I cock an eyebrow at the claim that that's the actual guitar. It may be, but it looks like the standard product shots currently in use.

Also carefully doctoring the lighting in a weeklong photo-editing marathon to look like it was shot in a diffusion tent against an infinity curve? ?

Another question then. Do they make R0s with bell knobs - instead of the classic 1960 LP mirror knobs? Knobs could have been changed. But it's not mentioned. If he's not giving Vic any more pics, then I'd say there's cause to assume something dodgy may well be going on here if he insists this is the actual pic. Could be wrong, but it looks pretty dubious.

SM,you are right about the knobs...should be the so-called chrome dome knobs....but could be replaced as you say.

Ok. The pics on take2 of the VOS LPs almost all have a shot with identical angle and lighting. I couldn't nail down the exact one that this pic is taken from, but it's from the same series, same photographer. So, unless this guy copies the exact lighting, background, and angle of those product shots, this claim about it being his pic of the guitar is BS. I knew I'd seen that set up before.

Although, on the flipside, according to those pics the R0s do come in standard bell knobs.

There's been some good specials going for those with the cash.

I don't know if it still holds, but McGibbons were offering the MIJ Tele and Strat replicas for just under 8k. Looked like a good deal to me.
