OK so it is max 4 instruments... is this then also 1 instrument per drum or percussion thingy?
Squonk
4 tracks, not 4 instruments- you can put anything on each track, but there must at least be a guitar somewhere.
AlanRatcliffe
Four instruments not four tracks (I'd only be allowed one guitar if that were the case). Drums & percussion can count as one and vocal tracks are "freebies".

Can't stop thinking Tomorrow Never Knows. There's actually a lot that can be done...

Turn off your mind, relax and float down stream ?

So, would we be allowed to use the same chord but in different positions, meaning I've I use an open E, am I allowed to use a E in a different position along with that, such as a E barred over the 12th fret?
AlanRatcliffe
Different voicings of the same chord are fine.
I'm real interested to see what everyone comes up with, given the limitations. ?

Ahhh... a hardcore guitarist's favourite challenge!! Bring on the epic breakdown! ?

Ok, so mine's in...one whole minute of a D Major chord for your ears only... ?

Was wondering how everyone was doing. I spent an hour earlier fiddling with a germ of an idea, so I'll try get something down tomorrow (actually later today).

I wish i could take part in this comp :'(
Never mind, i'll get Wayne Krantz to fill my spot ?
BTW, nice one Alan. I probably would have gone with an Am7

I haven't done too much. I have a basic idea down. I'll just fiddle a bit with the electric guitars and then see. Mine's very dramatic

Well, I've done mine. I was considering a big production with two electric guitars, bass and drums but decided to go simple - one nylon acoustic guitar - one take - no overdubs - which in reality made my life more complex having to play the bass, rhythm and melody at the same time. Had fun with this one.

Mine's also in. Also very simple but with two tracks of acoustic.

Now that sounds very interesting! can't wait!

Well my entry is in. The hardest part was getting it within the 60 second limit. Kind of like a haiku - you have to refine your idea to fit into the format.
Mine is built around a E-major chord. Two tracks, but I used a stomp box with a stereo output. So it's one take.

Mine's done as well. Will upload tomorrow.

I was going to treat y'all to some frippertronics. am not going to get it recorded in time. Got as far as miking up the amp, but had to leave it there and I have to go away for a couple of days tomorrow. Oh Well...

I also missed the bus. I ended up having to work on the weekend. ☹
