New GFSA: Technical Issues

At around 12h00 this morning, you'll all see a new face to GFSA along with a whole bunch of new features. We've been slowly building and testing this in the background and we both (Alan and I) feel that it's ready for YOU to start testing and enjoying ?

We love it and we hope you will too! (It might take a week or 2 for you to warm up to it, so give it a chance ?)

If you experience any technical issues, please post them here. There's a separate thread for content-related suggestions - please use that one for anything that's not a technical issue or technical suggestion.

Looking good! One small thing, the drop down menus above appear behind the current add, once again the liquid design one.

Other adds appear fine though...

Its definately going to take me some time to get used to the new design, but I'm sure once I am it will be better! ?

I am mostly NOT seeing an ad at the top of the page now. Just an empty space where it should be. The only ad I do see is for Liquid Design.

Also, I get the following error when updating my account:

The e-mail address xxxxxxx is not valid in SMF

???

Jikkel! Now I'm like totally deurmekaar. I see "chat" but not "submit". And I see chat more to the left than the right.

I experimented with uploading a new user profile pic, and it wouldn't let me do that, on the grounds that my email address isn't "valid". (Of course, it was and still is - I hadn't touched it.)

Do you see a "Log In" link on the right, but no "My account"? Then you need to log in again as you're currently logged into the forum software, but not the site proper. It's a different log in system to before and from now handled by the new system while you probably had "Keep me logged in" checked during the changeover, so haven't logged into the new system yet.

Whilst trying to change my sig I get the message

The e-mail address .... is not valid in SMF

It's a valid, real e-mail address in regular use.

Ok, so I tried to modify my personal text under the avatar, (just for testing)........... nothing doing! When you click in the box, it acts as if to open "browse" to insert/change (new) avatar.........

Other than that I quite like the "New Look"............ I'm sure you guys will sort out all the little thingies soon enough.........

Fixed, sometimes my brain just stays in 1st gear! Hahahahaha.

Hi. Is it possible to place a link back to the main page somewhere that's obvious? Such as if you click on the speech bubble that says GuitarForum.co.za? It will make navigation easier back from the discussion topics.
