I was hanging around Marshall Music in CT a while ago and man, those Warwick Rockbasses look gooood. I'm amazed for R4000-7000 you can get something that cool looking. Does anyone have experience with them? How's the sound, build quality, playability etc.
Warwick Rockbass - any good?
They are very cool guitars. Build is very sturdy, sound is very good as well.
Not a bad buy at all.

I used to hate these guitars, thought they were ugly as hell. But then in church someone made me play it sunday evening, AND I NEVER heard such a good sound as that bass through a Roland cube 100..... NEVER....... I even had some guys from big jhb bands commenting how amazing it sounded. I swear on my life I would get one instead of a fender (and you know rthats weird for me)
They are the cheaper Warwicks, but wonderful value for money.
Quite a recommendation then ? The equally weird thing is despite being fairly unappreciative of Fender's guitar products, I actually love their basses, 5-string Jazz is top of my bass GAS list...or a 5 string true Warwick of course. But that's a major expense so a li'l Rockbass action on the side might be fun...maybe a fretless. Hmmm...something adventurous I wouldn't spend big money on since I probably won't be able to play the thing anyway!MIKA the better one wrote: I swear on my life I would get one instead of a fender (and you know rthats weird for me)
really that rockbass is great quality, there other basses whic are majoy money, look like abortions I thinkm I know thats inappropriate, but hey look like little abortions with strings
I played a peavey bass recently. Had 2 jazz pickups in and I could get a very warm sound out of it. It needed a small neck adjustment though.
I also have an Aria Pro2 that had the frets removed that also has such a beautiful tone. I like those jazz pups on a bass. I can work with them ?
