I am also on a flamenco forum and it seems that asking questions about certain subjects like neo flamenco or fakemenco is a taboo. Not officially but it's some unwritten rule. I am quite disappointed about that but also pleased that there is this forum where the users are generally more open minded and mature. Thank you guys. I think Norio & Alan have alot to do with the culture of this forum and it is indeed quite rare.

We have had our share of trolls but as in any good anarchy the members themselves persuade them to leave thus relieving the moderators the burden, it is kind of like everybody here is a member of the Kama police. 8)

That's good to hear.
On other forums it is not so much trolls, but seriously about cliques and abuses of power. Maybe one day I'll show ya all, but for now I am letting the dust settle.

You couldn't have wished for a better support group to help with the nerves of performing live for the first time.

I was sick (even had a bit of the runs, the old nerves were shot) and was on the verge of anouncing that I was just there to spectate rather than play. After a glass of wine(thanks Webejame) and lots of encouragement from all the GFSAffers it was a whole bunch easier to get up on the stage and have a go.

So this forum not only works in cyberspace, it's very practical as well.

The amazing thing is that even though most of us all met for the first time, it was if we had been buddies since the Boer War, or at least The Battle of Hastings ?

I might need a bit of that on Thursday. Are you coming Squonk?
