They even had a girl named Prudence come in through the bathroom window. The heroine's name was Lucy and she had a brother named Maxwell who was always hitting things with a hammer. Etc etc etc
You're kidding! ?
I kid you not.
The dialog went something like
"Who's that?"
"She said her name is Prudence"
"Prudence! Where the @$&* does she come from?"
"Well she came in through the bathroom window"
In not much time at all Prudence has sung "I Want You" whilst she she watches her BF get his rocks off with a sexy girl by the name of Sadie. She then locks herself in the loo.
No prizes for guessing which song the cast sing to encourage her out.
I thought there were some scenes that worked well by themselves as a video accompanying a song. The scene at the induction center, shot to a very heavy reworking of "I Want You/She's So Heavy" was very effective - though not very 60s (a problem with much of the movie, too many of the visuals were too obviously out of time). And some of the arrangements worked well ("Come Together" for example), but despite some good parts, the whole was quite annoying.
