BTW... I got a template map last night to an orchestra setup in Reason4... the strings are rather quiet... haven't tested the full outline yet but if it works I'll post the link for anyone interested. The nice thing about Reason and Garritan is that they have the range laid out so u can't mess up and write poop ranges. But I am so looking for the full Garritan product... just too pricey for me.
In Rimsky Korsakov's book on orchestration he recommends to write it in the audible range of the ear... in other words not to use the lowest or highest ranges of the instruments... sigh... rewrite for me, lol. It sucks... camel nuts... damn.
