i used to be a die hard ibby fan especially all the superstrat thing... then i got my grubby hands on a jackson and a kramer...
just a different feel, but man does that feel make a big difference
I replied previously that Jackson didn't make anything interesting to me personally, but this year that may have changed:

That's the "SLAT3-7 Soloist Archtop", a brand new 7-string for 2010. It's also available in a natural wood finish amongst others.
So give me a quick Jackson education - what's a soloist, what's a dinky? They look the same to me. The above guitar is a Pro Series, from the price that should be comparable to to Ibanez Prestige range, is that about right?
I really want a natural finish 7 string, this is the only production model I've seen with that option. The alternative is going custom...which may be an option too. It's also nice to broaden the collection in directions non-Ibanez.
I realize GASing for a natural finish guitar may seem at odds with drooling over the "buffalo hemorrhoid" dayglo Ibanez... but let me assure you I am at perfect inner harmony with all this. Both ends of the aesthetic scale are gorgeous. ?
