I find a 4x12 cab totally addictive, even at bedroom volumes.
There's something about the bass tone and the fullness of the sound that doesn't exist in a 1x12.
When you're listening to a 1x12 the tone hits you from one small place, with the 4x12 it comes from everywhere, it's like the sounds coming out the walls of the room...it's a beautiful thing when you kick in delay or reverb, it comes from everywhere.
I'm surprised more "bedroom" players don't use a 4x12 cab and a 5 or 20 watter head instead of a combo.
A 4x12 is not so big, it fits in the same area that a 1x12 combo fits into, it's just higher. ?
Check this out, the Rivera 1x12 and the DSL100 with 4x12 cab in the identical area of the same room...to be honest, the 4x12 fits better.
I might swop the 100watt head for a 50watt head, but the cab stays where it is.?
