Hi all,
TJs Acoustic Music Club are having an open mic night on Thursday 29th.
Venue: Marks Park club, Judith Road, Emmerentia, Johannesburg
Time: First act will go on at 20:00, but get there earlier to book your time slot.
Admission: R20 (you can come along just to look and listen).
Food and drink can be ordered from Marks Park staff.
TJs provide PA, Microphones, di-boxes for guitars with pickups.
You need to bring your instrument and if you are using stomp boxes and/or pre-amps then you need to bring leads as well.

I went. I played. I played the Morgan. I met Malcolm from GFSA there. They were undersubscribed so I got 5 songs.
1) Coconut (Harry Nilsson)
2) Spencer the Rover (traditional, arranged by John Martyn)
3) Tit Willow (Gilbert & Sullivan)
4) Men (Loudon Wainwright III). I asked if there were any men in the audience. The response was underwhelming
5) Sam Hall (traditional) - didn't play any guitar on this one, and for a change the audience was booing and hissing.
