I'd like give some well earned respect to two of the most underrated guitarists in rock history, namely Mike McCready and Stone Gossard of Pearljam. These guys were my inspiration when I first picked up a guitar and plugged her into my dad's old Pioneer HiFi.
PJ have just released a new album called "Backspacer" and from what I've seen on youtube, they're back in full force. Can't wait to get my mits on it!
That said, Ament is a sh!t hot bassist and Vedder can hold his own with his arsenal of Tele's as well!

+1 with that. Stone Gossard especially. Was listening to the album Ten this morning at 4 (don't ask) and songs like "Evenflow" and "Alive" (besides Jeremy) still kick my ass.
+2!! Weird, but in my grungie teens it was Nirvana and the heavier bands that I listened to. Pearl Jam was The Enemy for some angsty unexplainable teen reason... And now Pearl Jam is just about the only nineties band (along with Soul Asylum) that I still listen to regularly.

Yeah man! Stone is a legend! He and Jeff composed most of their tunes back in the early days.
