Unbelievably, for a muso, I travel to work with a motorcycle. Don't get me wrong I'm a car lover too, but for me it just makes more sense because I live 45km from work. Faster, less frustrating and my petrol bill is a third of what it was before. It aint so cool in the cold and the rain (like the past few days), but if you've got good riding gear it doesn't bother too much. 50 000km later I'm still loving it. I wouldn't commute with anything else.
Car-wise, I'm actually looking to trade up from my *cough*Getz*cough* to a *louder gasp cough*used Fiat Multipla JTD*even louder gasp cough*.
Yeah I know, possibly the ugliest frog-eyed car ever (the older model anyway, the new shape aint bad. Although I think the Ssanyong Stavic is the ugliest by far). It's just great for moving band gear around. The seats are all removable and it's arranged in 2 rows of 3 seats. Basically I can remove the back row of seats and still seat 3 people in front with a ton of stuff in the HUGE flat cargo space. No more trailer!
Anyone else resorting to desperate measures to move their gear?
