Ya/no, that's good. I didnt expect them to start degrading too soon if purchased in bulk. Buying a pack of ten sets should keep OK. Tell me a nother thing plse, can you buy nylon sets with extra E, A, D (ie the low wound ones)? But I also seem to notice that the G gets a bit dead sooner than the top E, B. Does that make any sense?

ray your strings shouldn't age differently . but you do say you leave em on for ages........... so maybe because of that .....
but most companies sell loose strings especially if you order on internet...... but finding loose nylons of the particular brand you want might be difficult in stores..........
maybe just change em all out say once a month or every 6 weeks and you should notice no problems
also what strings you using .. my pro arte's (D'Addario) sound balanced all the time..... but true i change a lot more frequently .........
but maybe experiment with other brands to what you use.......... sooner or later you find one that you like....
then i always stick to the philosophy ............."don't fix what ain't broke"
