GFSA CT Mini Woodstock weekend

FenderBender · 2009-08-24T21:58:41+00:00

I would like to host a weekend for all those interested in jamming and getting to know their forum buds in the flesh. The event will take place at my house, 4 Craig Street, Welgemoed at midday on Saturday 12th September and will essentially be a pop, dop, guitar and chop day/evening/weekend. You are welcome to stay the whole weekend if you like as I plan on ringing in Spring in a big way. And for our wayward Plattelanders (and those tucked away in small villages somewhere near Cape Town), we have a guest room and spare room for you to crash in, should we be in high spirits post jam. Locals are also welcome to crash wherever they find a spot. For those that feel more comfortable pitching a tent, we have a garden, complete with pool and koi pond to get lost in. No fishing is allowed though ? Check your Calendars and let me know by posting in this thread. Thanks ?

Wow Dude, that's very grand of you ? I have band practice in Welgemoed on Saturday afternoon and might just pop in to say hello to all the faces before or after, (perhaps I can bring some of the others in my band along as well) I'll certainly diarise the event and try and plan for it. ?

FenderBender

Cool man pull in! I've already starting checking out our space and deciding on a good spot for the drumkit ?

Cannon

And dont 4get to pick out a good place for the beer too!!!

Riaan

Hey, this sounds like we should even bring our guitars!

FenderBender

Haha Craig! I have a bar fridge upstairs to save us the hazardous trip up or down the stairs!

@Riaan: Maybe even a few Plattelandse meisies? ?

inflames

This sucks, I heard today that I have a friends 40th B-Day party on that Saturday.
It starts at 12 with a wine tour then ending the evening with dinner.

So if you are all still awake by 11 I will pop in.

FenderBender

You mean if you're still awake at 11 you'll pop in ?

Riaan

No, they call guys over 25 years "oom". Much better if you guys brought some city girls! ?

Cannon

Oom i can handle! The city girls run off with your wallet!!!

There is a more than enough space to host a Mini Woodstock.

Cannon

Well thats good cos i need space to run freely! I always need to run round in circles to cool down at major parties.....hehehe....cant wait!!!
