It seems the guy who runs the space I'd considered is unwilling to waive the R200-per-session fee he charges for its hire. This makes me uncomfortable. I'll look into some alternative venues.
There's no such thing as a free lunch and you can't run a club at zero expense. This would amount to R20 each for 10 people.
It now gets business like if you want to go that route. So is there secure parking? What time is chucking out time etc? And can we take in our own beer instead of buying from the owner of the room?
