What tune in your playlist/radio are you listening to currently? I'm digging Danzig so far.

Squonk wrote Loudon Wainright has some serious musicians on this album. Bill Frisell, Greg Leisz - These are monster guitar players.

I love Leisz's playing. You missed out Jim Keltner, one of the world's more fabulous drummers. Great band on that album.

Wow - 12 minute instrumental (not really my usual thing) but some great playing. What always gets me, is how do people remember such long and sometimes intricate stuff? I struggle to remember chord progressions :-[

This band from England no one has ever heard of ☹ I don't know why they aren't well known, its one of the best albums I have heard in ages

Ray

The album Babel - Mumford & Sons. A rendition of the Boxer which for me is one of the grandest songs ever written. This one's got Jerry Douglas doing stuff. The whole album is good.

After an off-forum conversation with another forumite about the song "The Bonny Bunch o' Roses" I'm listening to June Tabor and the Oysterband's Ragged Kingdom. This opens with a cracking rendition of the aforementioned song. Like many great "folk" singers, Tabor is no snobby purist but sings whatever she finds worth singing (see Martin Carthy and Norma Waterson), so we also get songs by Joy Division and PJ Harvey. A great album, but it runs out of steam towards the end with a weak Dylan song ("Seven Curses") and a very unconvincing version of "Dark End of the Street". But ten great tracks before that, including a superb acapella "When I Was No But Sweet Sixteen", Shel Silverstein's "Hills of Shiloh" and a great take of the old traditional "Judas Was A Red-Headed Man".

Neil Young - Decade

Man it's the bollocks having your own office.

One of the reasons I started playing guitar, I just had to play "The Needle and Damage Done"

Been listening to the live version from Massey Hall 1971 lately - he did quite a cool set. I especially like the version of Ohio from that concert.
