What tune in your playlist/radio are you listening to currently? I'm digging Danzig so far.

Robin Trower - Bridge of Sighs

Septic Flesh....Sangreal.......loud enough to wake up the neighbours....

Eventually got Born & Raised, the new John Mayer cd. Not what I expected at all, but in a good way! After Battle Studies I had him firmly in the Pop for money, blues for fun and free gear bracket, but this is great hey. Woke up last night and had "Handmade, Fanblade, one-man Submarine ride......" running through my head until I fell asleep again ??? ?

Nick Drake - Bryter Layter. For me the least consistent Drake album, but the high points are REALLY good. There's a fab sequence on what was the second side when instead of CDs they had these vinyl things that had two sides, and which had to be turned over when.... never mind. Anyhoo... the sequence of which I speak is "Fly", "Poor Boy" and "Northern Sky".

I've seen them a couple of times. Good live band. Didn't know they'd been recording.

Yup, they put on a good show and chucked out free copies of the new EP too?

Yes well... those prog rock bands often did go for pretentious names.

I read a cool interview with Sumlin. Talking about his stint with Muddy, Howlin' Wolf knocking his teeth out, how getting rid of his pick changed his playing. Cool stuff?

Skabengas EP. The debut release by an upcoming local band. Especially love the guitar work on track 2! This is one to take a listen for all jazz/world/alternative music lovers:
