What tune in your playlist/radio are you listening to currently? I'm digging Danzig so far.

Well I'm sitting in a trendy bistro sort of place listening to some bunch lay down some fairly listless slightly disorganised jazz. But the disc that's been top of my playlist the last couple of days is the Hinds Brothers "Acoustic Sessions"

After playing the White Album to pieces

Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young Box Set

Listening to Disc1 and The harmonies and guitar playing is awesome stuff. Just after the White Album, quite interesting to hear their version of Blackbird.

I'll excuse your gratuitous use of the A-word and also add that for me Stephen Stills was one of the best and is now one of the most overlooked of the 60s guitar players. I think if he hadn't been in a group famous for sweet harmonies there would have been more attention paid to his other musical gifts. He played nearly everything on the first CS&N album and a good chunk (including the bass solo) on Deja Vu.

He's a forgotten man.

Didn't know about this one either!
Thanks for the tip-off.
Been doing a White Stripes and The National week. Listening to all the albums back to back.
Should check out the Peel Sessions the Stripes did in 2001 as well. Very cool raw, live recording with legend Mr John Peel.
