I was surprised at how much I liked Blackbird, despite the Creedy sound. Does Tremonti shred at *least* as much on III as he did on Blackbird? (Cos if not what's the point, then it really is just Creed.)
Hammeron I hear you. IMO Kennedy is way superior to Stapp of creed on all fronts. Better vocalist, better front man and a decent guitarist. But where there's Tremonti there will be Creediness I suppose. However, it is diluted by Kennedy into something superior, and way better.
arjunmenon Billy Cobham's Culture Mix - Stratus Pastorius/Williams/McLaughlin - The dark prince Zappa - The black page (Bozzio is hectic!) And a few random Bozzio and Jimmy Herring videos.
Jack-Flash-Jr Arjun Menon wrote Weather Report - Teen town (JP at his finest) He made that band imho... not only the bass but the character...
Bob-Dubery Norma Waterson and Eliza Carthy - Gift Mother and daughter, two members of one of the greatest British musical dynasties. Great vocals. Natural, spontaneous vocals from musicians who weren't taught to sing but have always sung, who grew up with singing in a family in which everybody sings. Norma Waterson is seriously ill. It may be that this is her final recorded work. She was visibly frail when I was fortunate enough to see her perform live in June last year. She was astonishing - outshining all other performers on a star studded bill and surpassing all recordings of her that I have heard.
[deleted] Two Door Cinema Club - Tourist History. Interesting Irish three-piece that sounds like a cross between Keane and Empire of the Sun. Maybe too pop-oriented for my liking but I'm still quite enjoying it. I'm just finding that the relentless tempo through each song tires my ears like mad. Sheesh - not a single slower song.
Squonk Just cant believe how soft spoken Jimmy Page is! Busy watching "It might get loud" and it has stoked my interest in Led Zep Lez Zep II and III is blaring through the speakers, The office doesn't know what's hit them today. Ramble on.........
[deleted] I'm going back a few years... Death Cab For Cutie - Plans :bopping: brilliant album imo Burn it down ‘til the embers smoke on the ground And start new when your heart is an empty room With walls of the deepest blue
Squonk Moved on to Led Zeppelin IV or "The Runes" "Battle of Evermore" Sandy Denny really compliments the song, Also saw Jimmy do this on 'It might get Loud' Need to get some White Stripes now, I find Jack White quite inspiring
