I still don't get the title. Anyways, this album still packs a surprising punch even after all these years (and even if Afrikaans is not your first language). Some fine guitar work from Willem Moller.
I think the title is a reference to the famous Marie-Antionette quote which contributed to her losing her head during the French Revolution, and is quite apt considering the situation in our country at that time.
He just had to change it slightly because Eet Kreef was a slightly better option than Eet Koek, which would have taken on a whole different meaning to his Afrikaans audience.... ?
