giggsy Brentcgp wrote The cricket on Radio 2000... Need to get home and rot on the couch a.s.a.p. Dammit - forgot that was on >☹ Thanks for reminding me.
Bob-Dubery John Martyn Bless The Weather This is the album before the better known Solid Air. The albums were recorded about 15 months apart, and they are quite different from each other. Here Martyn's vocals are less jazzy and the mood is more relaxed. Apparently Martyn wrote most of the songs during the recording sessions so that nothing would sound like it had been rehearsed to death. Danny Thompson is on most tracks and I think this is the album that kicked off the successful and long running musical collaboration between Danny T and Martyn.
Frans-B--Cocq 21Fretter wrote Rage Against the Machine - Kick Out The Jams ? Nice choice! RATM - I'm Housin' for me.
Bob-Dubery Geoff Muldaur - Beautiful Isle Of Somewhere Anybody with an interest in acoustic blues guitar should give this one a listen. Muldauar is a more than capable and very clean fingerstyle player and a fab singer. He pulls off something that I think is difficult for a white college boy (well, when he got started in the 60s) singing and playing in the style of Sleepy John Estes, Blind Lemmon Jefferson, Mississippi John Hurt etc etc... he sounds authentic and respectful but DOESN'T sound droolingly reverential.
needleshy Alice In Chains's new album "Black Gives Way to Blue" damn....... its really good even though Layne(R.I.P), one of the greatest singers to have graced the rock scene, was such a big pat of the bands sound they did manage to find a decent replacement. I'm sure Layne is looking down on the worls with a huge smile.
[deleted] Monte Montgomery - Wishing Well This guys music is just great, ordered another one of his albums last week...
FatBoy I can't seem to stop listening to some old Lightnin' Hopkins tunes lately, the man is awesome!!
Ray Also got Bob Dylan - Desire. And it must be one of the best for me. When it starts at Huricane your chest splits wide open at the sternum and then when Sara finishes, they let it close slowly again.
DaFiz I don't have any Jeff Healey on cd or mp3 (my cassette tapes all ended up in a box in the garage) so I went in search and found all the regular stuff on mp3raid (Tore Down/ While My Guitar Gently Weeps) in another folder I found some stuff I've not heard before... http://www.mp3raid.com/search/download-mp3/866812/jeff_healey.html I did'nt even know he did stuff like this. :-\
