The top wood is spalted sycamore, believed to be over 100 years old. Is this a way of short cutting the aging process and thus getting a "vintage" sound out of a new guitar?

This morning I played a Phoenix C10 - like the one in the picture but no cutaway. This is the most amazing guitar I have ever played. It is from another galaxy and it is beautiful to behold.

Blackmachine B7 7-string...hmmm.

Love the thin body. Apparently the tone out of these things is amazing.

This is particularly delicious although I can't imagine I'd actually be able to play it: fan-fret 8-string, insane. But gorgeous. Anybody here have experience playing a fanned-fret neck?

No direct experience, but I have it on good authority that you get used to it pretty quickly.

I saw one the other day. It had a very nice feel too it, low action and good parts. Not cheap though...

It's little brother, the Japanese built Eclipse I, is just as pretty.

That is a really nice finish, dark enough to be a bit metal but still so pretty.

Very tasty. Love the binding/purfling - classy without being over the top. I would prefer a plainer rosette though.
