I know it's irrational, but I reckon we should have a thread where you can post links to guitars you want real bad, and guitars you think are just downright sexy. I'll [obviously] go first.... Its not aGibson or Epiphone but still looks good.

Don't quite see the point of a Tele without an ashtray bridge though. It wouldn't sound much like a Tele.

There was once a New Zealand cricketer by the name of Robert Cunis. His performance on the field once prompted a BBC commentator to observe that "his bowling is a bit like his surname - neither one thing nor the other."

So it is with all these sort-of-Telecaster guitars. They are neither fish nor fowl. They always seem to me to be a compromise, falling between two hurdles, "designed" (if that's the right word) by people who can't make their minds up.

I love the art deco look, and the recurring stripe motif. Very, very easy on the eye.

i love the look and the lines are way cool ........... BUT unlike you i'll have mine sans those stripes .....just the wood with no stripes and it's a stunner , but on 2nd look not sure if those f holes are too big ...could look yuky when you can see into the guitar and it's not a dark finish inside maybe just stain the inside wood under the f holes but very interesting looking guitar ........

This is the Boaz "Clarita Negra". Top is cedar (obviously stained black), back and sides are Brazilian rosewood. I think the black top goes well with the Brazilian. Interesting looks with the off-set hole on the top and the soundport in the side.

Close up of the top, the shoulder with the soundport, and look at that wrap-around bridge....

Apparently has a very novel bracing scheme with about 60 individual braces.

Both of those guitars are truly beautiful, but for the offset sound holes. However lovely a guitar might be, I still seem to prefer the sound hole where the sound hole should be ?

I absolutely agree with this Keira. I think more f-hole guitars should have their interiors stained dark.

I really like the wide headstock on this one. I think that neck with the hibiscus inlay would look great on a sunburst spruce archtop.
