I GOT IT.....FINALLY.......

TomCat

Hi All

After all your encouragement, GAS got the better of me and I got the ARC300.

Here are some Pics.

I have changed the strings from the horrible factory strings that usually come with the guitar.
The tone is wonderful and I am very happy with the guit. So far learned about three cords......and yes the fingers are sore........ ? ?.......Having great fun though..... ? ?

Riaan-Combrink

Nice, Tom!

Feel the burn ... ?

Riaan

Congrats! Nice guitar!

WantzChas

Beautiful guitar.

CDee

Congratulations Tom.

All you need know is a practise 5W Tube amp, a 40W-100W stack for live performance, some pedals, a LP Custom, a Tele, a Strat etc.....
GAS creates needs...

Very nice guitar Tom! Like Corrie said, now it starts.
May your list of gear grow!

Manfred-Klose

Congrats tom, for R2800 you got a very good guitar that will last for many hours of playing.

Do you play the drums , there is something that looks like a kick drum in the 1st pic?

enjoy her(the guitar i mean ?)!!!!

Riaan

...maybe get a blister on your little finger, maybe get a blister on your thumb. Money for nothing and your chicks for free"

HAHA....Yes its drums.....we are a rather mad music family

Wife....Piano, Keyboards, Guitar and Voice
Son....Guitar, Bass, Drums, Piano and Voice
Me...If you cant beat them....join them on guitar..... ? ?

Our lounge looks like a cross between a music store and a rehearsal room.....Furniture optional extra.... ? ?

Congrats, Tom.......hope you have many happy hours playing her.......!!!
Blisters? Wait till you see smoke coming from your fingers......then you're on fire!!!!!
Have fun man....... ? ?

Bob-Dubery

Congrats!

No pain - no gain ?

TomCat

Yup

Having lots of fun already.....My current challenge is keeping my wife and son away from it......"Go Away...You already have your own toys to play with...... >☹ >☹"

Other "NORMAL" families fight about money...etc.We fight over who plays with the new toy first..... ? ? ?

BTW...Put the guit through a ProCo Rat today pushed the distortion almost full and hit the first three strings of an Em (Yes, I know that Em is probably the easiest cord to play, but I had to start somewhere.... ?). Oh my Hat....That was Soooooooo Gooooooood....!!!!!.....I can die and go the heaven now.... ? ?

LOL! Nothing wrong with that. I just had a mental vision of you as Michael J. Fox in Back to the Future - plugging in, turning up all the volume controls hitting one big chord and getting blown across the room! ?

Next step, A minor pentatonic scale ?

Nice one. Your one pickup almost looks gold in the 2nd pic. Gold trim on that would be very delectable. Not that I'm giving you any ideas now... :?
