For those of you who know The Irish Ale House in Broederstroom, and for those who don't ?, said establishment will be holding it's Solstice Fair on June 29th (OK... so it's not quite Solstice). There will be a performance by the pipe band of the Transvaal Irish, music throughout the day from acoustic artists invited by Meryn Davis, and medieval swordfighting. AND there will be A DOZEN OR MORE independent brewers selling their wares (the Irish Ale House brews their own on the premises and it's pretty good).

There will apparently be open mic sessions as well for those who chose to turn up with an instrument.
The acoustic acts should include the duo of finger-picker Mike Burger and lap-steeler Richard Bruyns.
Oh... there will be a tent and a big screen so that nobody has to miss the rugger.
