Jogged my memory there Lawrence!
There was a pie shop in hout bay in the 90s that used to sell pies filled with croc, puffadder, warthog and the meat from various other dangerous creatures. I skipped on the puffadder, but my friend had at least one a week. Might explain why he slithered off and I never saw him again ?
