As a stage presence they're great, I really enjoy them. They're not over-the-top crazy on stage but there's that little bit extra in their live performances that unfortunately doesn't carry over into their recorded albums.

I like their music and style.

i have always found the bands music very whinny , to the point where i want to smack someone . but that's my opinion . +1 on the guitar thou

I really like them! Everytime I've seen them live I walked away with a buzz.. But then again, that could just be the beer talking as well.

Their albums aren't spectacular, but it does what it needs to, and I like the song writing.

Seen them live only once, and wasn't blown away. Also caught some of their set via TV from the Africa Day concert, and it was just awful. (They do have some very good songs, which they were butchering.) The Clockwork Orange makeup and relentless posturing also don't do it for me.

Why not? Even if it's just for the sake of saying that you've seen them live.

I, like Neps, have enjoyed their lives shows. There really is something missing from their albums, something that their shows have that their recorded tracks don't. It's that little something that makes the difference.

I enjoy to see them live, the albums is a bit on the boring side.
To me their music fall in the "chick music" category

i think they're good at what they do. But they are not groundbreaking. Nice music. Not my thing...

That seems to be the "problem" with many, probably very talented, SA groups, they get "carried away" by their fans.........and they never move beyond that level..... ☹

Some of South Africa's musos who have gone beyond this level, and "made it" internationally, are the ones who saw "past" spoiling local fans only .......IMO.
eg. Trevor Rabin (I don't think Rabbitt would ever have made it internationally, even though they had a big hit locally) and Jonathan Butler, both having made it quite "big" Stateside!!!

Just my opinion/observation through the years....

They are good at what they do, but way too commercial for my liking. It's like they just play whatever gets them on the radio and not what comes from the soul ? I don't really like listening to anything where the guys just strum a few chords and call it music. Sigh...okay I'm gona stop here, before I cause a Riot ?

Aubs, you just hit the nail on the head. We played with them once at Tempos, I wasn't very impressed.

I've got nothing against them, but I don't know how they get to be one of the best selling bands in the country. But then again, south african music (specially afrikaans) can come up with biggest nonsense and still sell 100 000 copies. :-\ :-\

Reason I asked ... is that the vocals annoy the hell out of me.
Contrived, pretentious and half talking.
