Sorry Alan , I actually read your post on the Lovemore's thread after I posted...

All I got was the sms saying that all stock must go and that it's on all major brands.

Not your fault if they (like others) think that vague promises will get more people into the stores. ...and totally ignore those of us who don't live in their catchment area.

Ya man! It would help if they updated their websites with some info as well. Most of the sites are so outdated. Marshall Music has been promising rain for 2009 since January, still nothing.

I've never seen ads for their annual sale, but it's really a crazy sale. Absolutely worth it

Toms don't normally list their specials, but they do offer awesome deals. I think they want people to come into the shop! ?
I pop in from time to time for their weekly specials as well.

The Saturdays are quite hectic though. You have to que for a few blocks to get in. If there's nothing specific that you want, rather go the sunday, it's much quieter

I wonder if Coastal Music in Durban is also having a sale at the same time.....They are part of the TOMs group.

Yup , we make it a kind of gathering and camp in front of the store from the Friday night already. It's probably the closest I've ever been to frostbite, especially when the sun just start coming out, but it's lekker in it's own twisted sort of way. I got my ESP there last year and was happy that I was in front of the door. Just as I took it off the rack, another guy came in to buy it aswell..

I don;t think I'll be there this year though. :'(
