Pointless Poll # 14410897 I cannot prove but I believe ....

Bob-Dubery

After all, not every player accounts for a measly two instruments.

Which begs the question: If the average player owns 2, and Keith Richards owns 7044190 guitars, are their players who own a fraction of a whole guitar?

(old forum) Poll Results: That the person in this world who owns the most guitars is...

Keith Richards: 6
Alan Ratcliffe: 2
Pete Townsend: 2
Slash: 4
The Edge: 2
David Gilmour: 2
MoJo JoJoe: 10
George Gruhn: 0

Do Keith Richards really own so many guitars? ???

kieth richards , i also believe he is also the oldest guitarist in existance and cannot die , and if him and alan were to fight , the universe would implode .

It would be like dividing by zero...

In a nuclear holocaust it would only be cockroaches and Keith Richards on earth.

What about eddie van halen, once saw an interview where he is showing off his guitars, they where all over his house.

keith has got 3000 guitars, and thinking of opening a guitar museam:

At this time, MoJoe has just overtaken Pete Townend and the Edge! By 5pm, I'm sure he would have overtaken Keef, all the cockroaches, and the ants!!!! Hahahaha ?

That would certainly be a case of not being able to get what you want. Of course he might still get what he needs.

No. It would end with Alan saying "Keith... I am your father."

He owns an unknown but very large number of guitars. There are tales of Stones pre-tour rehersals where Keith picks up one of the many guitars that the roadies have arranged on stands, uses it, decides he likes this one and then this happens....

Keith: "I really like this one. Is it Mick's? Is it Ron's?"
Roadie: "No. You've owned that one for seven years now. So-and-so gave it to you and it's been in the warehouse."

He gets given a lot of guitars by fans, or by makers who want a photo of Keith with one of their guitars. Which seems a bit redundant to me. You'd be in a much more exclusive club if Keith DIDN'T own one of your guitars.

I think Keef is so stoned most of the time he wouldn't know if a guitar was his if he only had one. ?

I'm currently down to seven and they are all completely different, so I don't even feature.

I wouldn't mind having Tom Petty and Mike Campbells collection - not the biggest in the world, but some seriously desirable collectables and probably the biggest collection of 12-strings (acoustic and electric) in a single place.

Poor, poor young John Mayer......... only has "just over 200" guitars....... and I'd bet, most of them Fender!!!!
I wonder why???? ?

You should see, or maybe you have seen, Jackson Browne's acoustics. AND he takes them on the road.

Agreed. Vintage stuff, Bob ?

Gearhead

The collection I was eyeing is Billy Gibbons's - maybe not 200, maybe not all beautiful or elaborate, but all dripping with tone.
