Ran out of time, so here is just the basic idea. Vocals sound like pea soup.

Here's my (cringe-worthy) entry for this Challenge - Vocals
http://www.box.net/shared/h2jr0n7vkq
Four tracks, including vocals.
1. Drums: LeafDrums - Played a little with compression and reverb this time. Sounds better but still not spot on. Need to learn more about drumming techniques.
2. Rhythm Guitar: Hondo LP, Capo 4th, neck 'bucker - Slight overdrive on the Zoom, comp, chorus and a touch of reverb. Stereo'd.
3. Lead guitar: Squier Strat, neck and bridge (superswitch) - stronger overdrive on the Zoom, usual comp, reverb and EQ'ing. Tried tapping for the first time (recorded) and I'm well pleased with the results. Stereo'd.
4. Vox: JVC microphone into the Zoom505II as a pre-amp and compressor. Fairly strong compression initially, touch of reverb.
Recorded and mixed on Audacity.
Ran compression on most of the tracks, especially the vocals. Added a little trem and reverb for the final vocal bit and EQ'd in Audacity. Added reverb to the drums as well. Also experimented with some filters this time round, still perfecting it.
Final mix down suffers from the same fate as most of my tracks - I monitor on headphones. That's a fail. Drums could have been stronger. We won't even talk about my vocals... :P

Can't believe I chose my first one to be with vocals :-[ oh well! Went for a bluesy style. I actually snapped a string during this! ::)
