The best attenuators are ones that are matched to the impedance of the amp driving it. I could either design a unit to handle a specific impedance, or design a universal unit that will handle 2,4,8 and 16 ohms. The second option would make the unit far more expensive, larger and somewhat less reliable due to all the fancy switching and extra components needed. I don't own a valve amp, so maybe some feedback from our members as to what impedance to design around would be a good starting point.

Well after months of development, changes and tweaks, I have finished the 100W proto version of TubeTamer!

Just had it on test now and very happy with the results. I hope to have the website up soon and will also look at having it available in complete kit form for those that prefer building their own. Assembly would be relatively simple and would only require basic tools.
Although it would take a few hours to assemble, one could save a few hundred bucks doing it oneself ?

As Alan shared the links need work, also I think the images on the right should be square not rectangular, the aspect ratio is also out stretching the images. If you want, send me a highish res shot and I'll re crop and edit them for you, least I can do!
