If you havn't seen it, Kung Fu Hustle isn't a music movie, but a great kung fu/comedy that scores the music as part of the action, without you really noticing it.
I reckon the coolest scene is the harpist one.

Cool thread
The movie Rockstar with Mark Wahlberg has loads of cool scenes.
Also the one where Karate kid plays a classical and blues guitarist. He duels Steve Vai in final headcutting scene and defeats him using a classical phrasing. Epic. Some reat blues in that movie. I think its called Crossroads.
Another good one is Tito and Tarantula playing the house band in Dusk till dawn. They play some SRV
and this?
studmissile I see your Risky Business and raise you...the low hanging fruit of "Back to the Future"
At least not the 10 foot speaker kickin' his butt, rather the Johnny B Goode tune (feat some 335 EVH-esque shredding - welllllll, at least it had a bigsby )...Bwahaha - but your kids are gonna love it!
V8 That was a great scene!
Soggy Bottom Boys?
Hey guys
really enjoying the threads in the post so far. very interesting and lots of laughs
studmissile Great movie, can't go wrong with the Coen bros.
This scene launched this tune into orbit!
V8 Great film, there were a couple of great music scenes in that.
studmissile Dude, I so have to watch this movie again!
What was I thinking? Should have been first.
studmissile Gawd, (dude) I was thinking last week that this is one I have to watch again. I'm of a age where a bathrobe IS formal wear
Now...we havn't talked Bond intro's, of which almost all the classic ones are amazing. While not a intro...I always dug...the low hangin' fruit of School of Rock. Jack so sells this scene
V8 Nice one, forgot about that . Cool scene.
Some ZZ Top?
studmissile Some ZZ Top?
Always...but the Tonya Harding story... Next you'll have me digging upa scene from Tiger King (which would mean watching it, which I'm not too Sure I want to)
All righty, time to crank up the class(ics). This would be the first scene I recall making a deep impression on me - partly from the movie, partly from the the computer game "Elite" which had the docking scene as part of it's gameplay. (I use 'gameplay' very loosely, it's a ancient game!)
Still love the scene & music. Though the game didn't age quite as well
I Tonya is a fantastic film, do yourself a favour and check it out.
Yes, 2001 what a classic scene. Here's another classic with Eric Clapton and Duane Allman.
Loved all the music in this film. Quintessential 80s Synth throughout.
