That's pretty cool. The exercise is a little like a one off patreon since those will all have been viewers but still cool.
Interesting that fiver takes 20%... that strikes me as a lot for an essentially passive service (although I agree with taking a cut of the tips too... too easy to abuse if you don't).

I didn't think much of that at first, but after you mentioned it, I've pondered it.

I really don't know much about fiverr's services to both parties (I assume there must be some kinda guarantee/mediation service?).

A recruitment service can get 3 months salary for a permanent placement. I've seen 15-25% fee's on contract placements...so it's in the ballpark?

Still $500 for a pp shoot...dooooodddgggyyyyy 🤣

That is probably what they are basing it on. The difference is that the recruitment service will actively go out to connect people. A service like fiver let's their search engine do that for them. Suppose that if they provide guarantees to clients then it might make sense.

...I've used recruitment services (from both sides), in my experience a good recruitment agent is uncommon. Mostly I've been used to make their quota of CV's. The good ones (All in all, I've found two) were actually interested in finding the client and candidate a good match, one of which I was at for seven years - a win all round. But the 'bad' ones, man 'o man they annoy me
