I'm not well practised with blast beats but could try something - share the stems somewhere daveo1977 ? Also, can you share the drum midi file? Can hook you up with much better sounding drums

            daveo1977 Lol dunno what's going on with the midi? Pulled it in and this:

            Top is the blast.mid file, next is hiphop.mid and below those is the coresessiondry.wav file. The midi files amount to 16 seconds long

            Also, bpm of the song?

              ScottyDogg I think I know what I did wrong. Fixed it and added the "Combo" midi file to the download folder. BPM set to 120.

                Would you mind if I played with drums a little? Just adding in some cymbal hits instead of leaving in just hi hats

                  Had a bit of time to play with this last night and I think I might have something. I started messing around with a riff I've been playing with for a while and found a bit of inspiration. So far I've got rough versions of the intro and verse more or less in place as well as outlines for a bridge and chorus. Now need to round the song out, complete the lyrics and can then start on tighter recordings and adding detail.

                    My best idea so far was to take a few old tunes I've done for challenges and re-mix them in a contrasting way.

                    Didn't say it was a great idea... 😑

                        ScottyDogg Yo dude! I added the midi files for the strings to the same folder you accessed last time. As always, add / subtract to your liking - especially keen to hear some of the strings replaced with tasty metal guitar 👍️

                          I'm using the challenge this month to commit to "tape" a long gestated thing - it's hardly original but it is (loosely interpreted) a contrast!

                            I've generated new drum sounds with your midi, done guitars on the blast beat sections and think maybe just some light noodling in the quiet middle bit. Having difficulty with this one lol
