Very subjective. Look at M Audio, Alesis etc. KRK as well. I am sure you can find cheaper but depends on what you want. Also bear in mind that monitors have a very flat transparent sound compared to regular stereo speakers. So consider that. If all you want to do is playback tracks.. then monitor might not be what you want. Monitors are intentionally transparent for mixing purposes
