  • Dad gave me a classical guitar! Where do I start?

I want to learn classical guitar. Especially improvisation would be nice like here:

It doesn't have to be super technical, but I'd like to be able to play some cool music on the guitar.https://curated.onl/nba-reddit/

I have pretty much no guitar abilities at all (I can play Shape of my Heart by Sting or Blackbirds by the Beatles). But I am a really good pianist - not to brag, but I think I learn guitar quicker than somebody with no musical background whatsoever. https://reversephonelookup.onl/

Can you advise me books or a youtube course for classical https://pcbuilder.onl/pcpartpicker/ guitar? I am not sure if I can afford lessons right now.

    Welcome.

Go onto a chord site like ultimate guitar and start learning some songs you like.
Take a look at the chord diagrams and start training you hands to get used to the fret-board. When you know a few shapes you can take a look at the caged system, there has been a few posts relating to that system recently.

After getting used to a fret board, your piano will start kicking in.

Edit: The reason for learning Chords and Caged first IMO is for you to be able to find any chord across the neck and solo using the chord shape as a start.

    Have fun!
