Cool trailer!

I recall reading about Laurel Canyon in a article about The Doors and how connected a lot of bands were by this area (and there was some pretty crazy stories alluded to in that article).

Wish I could find the original article I read, but this reddit post is more inflammatory that the article...

There's thimble-full of sense in the comments, but mostly speculation. What I understand from it, the hippie movement was either started or infiltrated by 'government agencies' as an effort to control (or guide) the anti-war movement (VIetnam) in the 60's/70's.

One of the tenuous links to Laurel Canyon...? Apparently many of the musicians had high ranking family members in the US Dept of Defense.

Yeah...well. It's a sttttrrreeetttch. Ideal fodder for a rolling stone article - though it'd have to be posthumously penned by Hunter S. Hisself ?
