Eskom prime, that would have got me...!
I debated changing my facebook birthday to today...but then I saw one of my good mates does actually have a birthday today ?
This one popped up in the google news feed - kinda convincing: https://www.iol.co.za/news/south-africa/western-cape/satellite-dishes-linked-to-increase-in-earthquakes-20400287
Tuckstir P.S its Eggs
Heh, and my name is Mr Lirpa Loof...?
Here's one that isn't a April 1st special : SA spend more on beer than veggies (no, hops isn't a veggie and beer isn't bread in a can)
V8
Talking of beer Mr fool..
But this is
Tuckstir That lead me to the statssa thing - SAB are as likely to withdraw beer as I am to stop playing bass because guitarists make fun of me...?
Was at a jam on Sat - seemed like peeps forgot I could play guitar - ripped it up for a while on a nice Ibby Roadstar 6 stringer, just to shut up some 'guitarists'. Rhythm skills do transfer across
Tuckstir I was also at a jam thingy... made me realize I've been rather slack over the last month or two.. my fingers hurt again..
Rubbing alcohol can help callus up fingertips a bit - though, I found, they'll dry out and peel, but helps get over the bump.
I also havn't been playing much this year (that was the first time I've spent more than 2mins on elec guitar). Though my fretting hand is usually fine (I've got a few decades of playing, so the fingertips are desensitized), it's when I go fingerstyle on the bass, which I'm still fairly new at, that I get blistered up quick on the plucking fingers. And I do mean blistered - to the point where I have to stop.
Tuckstir It seems not everybody loves April Fools.. some people really griping on another forum... I'm guessing they fell victim to it....
I was forewarned - brother-in-law and my mate have Apr 1st b-days - funny and useful!
I think it's a bit of good fun, though tech central had a nasty one with a load-shedding article that was borderline malicious.
April fools jokes are always a delicate balance. They need to be real enough to attract attention but not malicious. They should also have the seed of BS so that the sharp eyed can see though it and feel smug.
I didn’t see many today but the Eskom Prime did tickle me.
My brother plays quite a lot of Pokémon Go and he faked a video of him swapping teams using a new baby account, which he sent to his WhatsApp group. Apparently he had a few people going but they noticed the change in gold between his accounts.

Friar’s Balsam is good for plucking hand calluses- helps the skin thicken up
I missed this on the day... but here's the latest product from Possivie Grid...
