Hi all, where in jhb do you guys get parts. I've got a Squier Bullet that I want to replace tuners, electrics and pickguard, any advice? Thanks ps don't want top top stuff, just upgrades to my existing

    Heya,

Since we're talking strat's (yay!) and mods here's a decent article on strat tone: https://community.guitartalk.co.za/d/26802-the-ultimate-guide-to-strat-tone

Local places to look for parts:
http://www.terryd.co.za - cheaper import parts. Useful for pickguards/plates, screws, pots, etc
http://www.raru.co.za - They're doing allparts imports and other bits - can be really useful if you can't get to a store.
http://www.blackbeardsden.co.za - Aside from kit guitars, there's a mix of cheaper and intermediate parts.
Facebook group: SAMIS and Revolution often have bits up for sale

Otherwise, T.O.M.S and Music Connection in JHB are always worth a visit.

V8 thanks so much, I'll check it out, although at retail stores i can't find much but Raru looks promising!!

Strat No worries - always happy to help. P.s. Make sure the item is 'in stock' otherwise the wait can be a bit hit n miss - stock never arrives quite when they say it will. Otherwise raru seem to be fairly good with deliveries/returns.

Also tonetubes.co.za stock good quality guitar switches, pots and capacitors.
