Not sure bout their guitars though??
They have had some very good reviews. Unfortunately a bit pricey (usually).
I've never tried Vox amps, how would they compare to Fender, peavey ect?
Better in some ways. One of the "big three" guitar tones AFAIC - Fender amps do clean to gritty very well and most models are happiest with single-coils, Marshalls do crunch to drive and are happiest with 'buckers (IMO - don't stone me!). A good Vox
does it all!
Generally a very thick, complex sound (think Brian May).Their cleans chime and jangle (think Tom Petty, Roger McGuinn, REM) like nothing else and driven they are thick and fat, but somehow still articulate. They like both humbuckers and singlecoils (especially with Celestion Blue speakers). They bring out the "quack" of Strat 'tweens without losing the single pickup sounds, and they thicken up the bridge positions of both Teles and Strats. THE sound of the Beatles as well as early Led Zep, The Who, Rolling Stones, The Cure, U2, REM and 90% of the britpop stuff.
In case you can't tell - I like Vox amps. ?
