There is a collective of luthiers in Europe called the European Guitar Builders, or the EGB for short, who are at the forefront of something quite special.
The EGB, spearheaded by Michael Spalt, Juha Ruokangas, Ulrich Teuffel, Frank Deimel and Frederic Pons, founded in 2012 following the Montreal Guitar Show, with the aim of creating an equivalent European guitar show focusing on the incredible array of boutique guitar builders around the world today.
Fast forward six years and the fourth Holy Grail Guitar Show occurred this past weekend in Berlin, Germany.
