So this is the sequel to Garage Days in Pretoria

ABOUT THE VENUE

This is Gregory Wall's practise venue and it's in a 3m x 6m single garage for a nice old school garage band feel.

There's:

2x10 bass amp
2x 4x12 guitar cabs
PA system with 2 mics and a mixer
Drumkit (bring own cymbals)
Stands

Let's start with picking some songs. I figure we can fit in 3 songs and a blues jam at the end like we did last time.

Basket Case - Green Day
Behind Blue Eyes - Limp Bizkit
Stuff along those lines. Will look through my song book and check for others that are fun to play.

Lu22 Out of that list, I love Wicked Game and Behind Blue Eyes. Although I'm sure Basket Case is very accessible and fun to jam.

So I'm pretty happy with those.

May I suggest we take those three plus one song from someone else (I suspect @Yeti will have some ideas) for variety and then 12 bar blues (perhaps in E for variety)

I quite like what has been suggested already.

I'll give it some proper thought when I have two moments to rub together but I have had success at jam sessions with Sweet Child of Mine and Nothing Else Matters. Everyone knows them and they are pretty simple... although we should probably arrange for someone to learn the solos.

We can also look at some of the simpler jazz standards and possibly even some country tracks for variety.

If someone else wants to collect keys from the security guards and unlock/lock then that can work.

Otherwise the 22nd can work. I just have to leave on time to get to my BIL's birthday after.
